A-Tisket, A-Casket

Holy holstein

More on the morbid side, friends. Coffins-cum-couches from the eponymous coffincouches.com. These gothic beauties — originally, coffins with “cosmetic inconsistencies,” according to the website — get a second life (no pun intended) as seats suitable for Vincent Price’s drawing room and/or the Hotel California — you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

I suppose these va-va-va-vampiric settees would make great centerpieces for a modern space, or one that skews Baroque. Or maybe a haunted castle. (I just can’t help myself.)

Gotta give it up for the recycle, nonetheless. Of course, after seeing all this glitz that goes straight to the ground, I’m thinking about the prospect of green burial
