Second Annual Living Small Elvis Birthday Challenge
January 8, 2009
It’s time to TCB in honor of the King. He didn’t live Small, but he lived good. Following the tradition of the inaugural Living Small Elvis Birthday Challenge — won by none other than my boon companion, Mr. Justin — I give you Smallers a Presley-packed mini-quiz. Good luck.
NAME THAT ELVIS!
All of these artists are decked out in ‘68 Comeback Special black leathers. But who are they? The first person to name these four King-tastic guys wins a prize.
One for the Money…

Two for the Show…

Three to Get Ready…

Now go, Cat, go!

I Resolve.

We’re nearly a week into the New Year. It’s the traditional time for re-evaluation and resolution, right? So, beyond capturing the closetmonster, I resolutely resolve to live Small by my family and friends — I mean, why not spend more time with my tiny community? They’re good people.
What’s your New Year’s Resolution?
Living Small: One Year Later
December 28, 2008
What a year it has been. From its humble beginnings last winter, Living Small has brought me much joy — mainly because of you guys. Thanks for reading, thanks for sharing, thanks for advising and suggesting. Small is the definitely the new Big, if you folks are any indication.
All the best for a great New Year. Keep it real, peeps. And keep it Small.
Merry Christmas to all.

Warning: Sappy Post Ahead.
It’s Thanksgiving Day here in the U.S. — a feast day to rival no other in focus (all you gotta do is eat, people, and then eat some more) and in sheer volume (so. much. food.), like this, our apple pie:

In my family, both biological and in-law, it’s a day for being grateful for community, good fortune, health, happiness — you know, the Small things that tie us together.
So, on this day of thank-yous, I offer my gratitude to you, Living Smallers, for your comments, your advice, and your stories. ‘Cause really, you help me strive for the next Small thing. You’re the top. And for that, I am ever-thankful. Happy Thanksgiving.
