Come A-Knock on My Door
April 20, 2008
Three cheers for neighborliness! Yesterday, a knock-knock came on my front door. Husband opened it, only to find two fellow Seattleites who explained that they admired our cottage and were interested in the floorplan. Naturally, we invited them inside for a brief tour and told them a little about the history of our 1916 tiny house.
What a joy it was to connect with a couple of regular folks over the architecture and history of our home — not to mention the pint-size. Felt small-town and down-home. Made me want to do the same on my own walkabouts.
And, for those of you who can’t drop in on me, you can take a short photo tour of the Living Small house at Apartment Therapy. If you like it, show your big Small love and rate it as Super Cool. Voting ends at sundown today, so get your vote in stat.
