Vote! Vote! Vote!

November 4, 2008

Poll hours for King County in Washington state run from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Find your polling place online at the King County Elections site, and, if you haven’t already done so, browse their eVoter’s Guide once you sign in. King County officials report that lines won’t be too long — 64 percent of King County residents vote by mail, so they won’t be showing up at the polls.

Do your civic duty: get out there and cast your ballot. If you’re not gonna do it for the country, at least do it for the wee donkey and ellie making doe eyes at each other in the preceding pinup.

UPDATE: The CD News rounds up five public election watch parties, three of them in the ‘hood: Tougo Coffee, Central Cinema, and the Bottleneck Lounge. Plus, two hosted by the Democratic Party.

My friend, you absolutely must watch Iron Jawed Angels. It is an amazing thinker movie on the women who got us the right to vote.

  2. You’re the second person to recommend that! I’ll be sure to get it from LibraryFlix. Thanks, my friend.
