The (first) Milky Way

December 10, 2008

A little blogLove this noontime for Amanda at first milk. She’s not only into Small things (crafts, homecooked meals, crafts, building (and nourishing) community, crafts ā€” and did I mention crafts?), she’s got a voice that’s part kraft paper and ringing bells, part pine branch and holly berry. Not unlike Ernest Hermingway’s: simple, full of meaning. Not unlike an old Scotch ballad, or a sweet salted caramel.

Read it with delight.

Holy moly! Many thanks for the kind words, you lovely Smaller, you.

In the spirit of bloglove, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about your hot, hot, hot and groovy use of lingo: No jive?! Shazam?! Forsooth?! I heart. Seriously heart. One day I will use the word shazam in conversation. I can’t wait.

  2. Oh, thanks, A. I do loves me a little shazam now and again.
